Σήκωσες το κεφάλι σου στον ουρανό,

άπλωσες τα χέρια σου

σε ένα θρήνο

για τα αστέρια που δεν κατεβάσατε στη γη.

Τα αστέρια κατεβαίνουν,

αλλά χρειάζονται χέρια αστρικά

και πόδια που ριζώνουν στο κενό.

Είσαι έτοιμη να κάψεις

τη γήινη σάρκα σου

σε αυτή τη θυσία

της κοσμικής μεταστοιχείωσης;

The sacrifice of the cosmic transmutation

You raised your head towards the sky,

you spread your hands

in a lament

for the stars which you two didn’t bring down to earth.

The stars can be brought down,

but they require stellar hands

and feet rooting in the void.

Are you ready to burn

your earthly flesh

in this sacrifice

of cosmic transmutation?
