A talk at Seikh Su

 Raj narrates his first meeting with two of the founding members of the Tunc Volter movement. They have made the trip from Nwobria to Thessaloniki. He waits for them at Kamara. After their encounter, they buy some juice and beers and head uphill towards the forest of Seikh Su. Much to discuss the three of them do have; from their experiences and visions in social activism to science and art, subjects intertwine. As the night breeze caresses them, and Thessaloniki below and the moon above cast their lights, the conversation takes its own vivid path.

Promises of dancing currents

I will be there

soon enough.

Having left far behind

much of what I hold familiar, and dear.

Alone, under the twilight

I shall blossom,

graceful and ridiculous as ever,

upon this raw land of promises.

In a motionless eruption,

as I am standing right now

on the single verge of everything.

If possible,

offer all that I am

and I can.

Mutually incorporated to the currents

of the land’s flesh.

And if,

child and source of those currents,

sparkling creature weaving

dreams of my very core,

I make you feel the pull

of the cosmic threads,

and you haven’t been trapped into rigidity,

find the path to me

you will

maybe choose to walk it

to the first step

of our orchestrated ecstatic dance,

which shall not begin

until you manage to reaffirm the invitation

by tickling me

with your moss tail.

Να εφεύρω την άνοιξη

Είτε δικαιολογημένα είτε αδικαιολόγητα

ανέβαλα ν' ανοίξω την πόρτα μου

πολλές φορές στην άνοιξη,

και τώρα που την άνοιξα

η άνοιξη ανέβαλε τον εαυτό της.

Ακόμη και οι εποχές δεν είναι δεδομένες.

Τώρα αν θέλω να περάσω την πόρτα

χρειάζεται να εφεύρω την άνοιξη.

Ας είναι.

To invent spring

Justifiably or not

I postponed to open my door

many times to spring,

and now that I opened it

spring postponed itself.

Even seasons are not given.

Now if I want to pass through the door

I need to invent spring.

So be it.

Το παρελθόν δεν είναι σταθερά

Το γεγονός υπάρχει

ακόμη και αν δεν πέρασε

στη γεωμετρία του παρελθόντος

αλλά μόνο στη γεωμετρία της νόησης,

και τα παροντικά γεγονότα

μπορούν να αλλάξουν το παρελθόν

με τον ίδιο τρόπο

που βάζοντας ένα λίθο σε μια σειρά από λίθους

μπορεί να αλλάξει τον αρχικό σχηματισμό τους.

The past is not a constant

The event exists

even if it did not pass

into the geometry of the past

but only in the geometry of noesis,

and present events can

alter the past

in the same way

that putting a block in a series of blocks

can transform their initial pattern.
